Bhubaneswar: The Low Pressure area over the West-Central Bay of Bengal is likely to become a well marked Low Pressure over west central adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal off north Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha coasts during the next 36 hours. Due to the impact of the system, heavy rains are expected in many of the Southern and Coastal districts of Odisha. The meteorological center has issued warning for fairly widespread or widespread rains with isolated heavy falls and thunderstorm/lightning very likely over many districts Odisha during the next five days.
The MET Department has issued warning for very heavy rainfall at one or two places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamala, Gajapati, Ganjam, Khurda, Nayagarh and Puri from 8.30 AM of September 10 till 8.30 AM of September 11. Also, yellow warning has also been issued to Bargarh, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Balangir, Boudh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Deogarh, Jharsuguda and Cuttack from 8.30 AM of September 11 till 8.30 AM of September 12.
