‘Maha Yajna’ Begins ahead of Srimandir Parikrama Prakalpa Inauguration

Puri: With just two days reaming for the historic inauguration of the Parikrama Prakalpa, Jagannath Dham Puri is bustling with religious and spiritual activities. As part of the inauguration rituals for the Heritage Corridor, the three day holy Vedic Maha Yagna began today with priests initiating vedic mantras. First, the ritual of Agni Sthapana was conducted. Veda Patha is being conducted at the four Dwaras of Srimandira.

The Priests are chanting the RigVeda Parayana at the Singha Dwara, YajurVeda at the Dakhsina Dwara, Sam Veda at the Paschima Veda and AtharvaVeda at the Uttara Dwara. The three day Yagna will conclude on the 17th and the Heritage Corridor will be open for the people.
