Make In Odisha Conclave 2022: Stage Set For Odisha’s Biggest Ever Investors’ Extravaganza From Tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: The biggest ever investors’ gathering of Odisha – the Make in Odisha Conclave 2022 is all set to begin from tomorrow at Bhubaneswar. All preparations have been completed and the red carpet is waiting to welcome the who’s who of Indian industry to come and be a part of Odisha’s success story.

The third edition of the Make In Odisha Conclave is going to start from tomorrow and will continue till 4th December 2022. Some of the biggest and noted entrepreneurs and investors from across the world will attend and explore the investment opportunities available in the state. The Janata Maidan has been decked up for this grand event and looking at the success of the last two events, this year’s event is also expected to be historic in terms of attracting investments to the state and the number of attendees.

All including Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, the state administration and investors are very excited to be part of this conclave which is going to showcase the success story of Odisha’s transformation before the world. The state government is continuing its efforts to create an industry-friendly environment for the investors from across the world. It has the best infrastructure and resources such as manpower, mines and minerals, water resources and above all a proactive governance system. The state has been in the forefront in attracting investments even during the pandemic gripped the world. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik himself has met various foreign investors and apprised them about the industrial potential in the state and inviting them for making investments in Odisha. He held one on one talks with some of the biggest industrialists and investors during the investors meetings held in Dubai, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad this year.

As the meeting day comes nearer, guests have already started arriving to Bhubaneswar. The officials of the State Government are leaving no stone unturned to use the opportunity to appraise the investors about the steps being taken by Odisha for facilitating industry.

In 2016, eighty nine investment proposals worth Rs 2,03,235 Crore were received of which 58 proposals have been passed and employment opportunities for 104,762 people have been created. Similarly, in the 2018, 202 investment proposals worth Rs 4, 23, 115 crore were received during the Make In Odisha Conclave of which 108 proposals worth Rs 3,93,597 crore have been articulated and created employment opportunities for about 276790 people.

According to sources the thrust this time would be to receive investment proposals from IT, renewable energy, textiles, cosmetics, food processing, shipping, mining-based industries, petrochemicals, health, education, energy, construction industries etc.
