Malkangiri: The Border Security Force (BSF) has introduced boat ambulance service for the people of Swabhimaan Anchal in Malkangiri district on the occasion of 73rd Republic Day.
The unique healthcare initiative was inaugurated by BSF DIG Sanjay Singh near Gurupriya bridge in the Swabhiman Anchal.
The boat is equipped with drip system, medicines and paramedical staff. The BSF officers will arrange ambulance to shift the patients to the nearby hospital once they reach the mainland.
The Boat Ambulance service will be available between two ends of Balimela reservoir. It will benefit over 30,000 people of over 35 villages.
