Malkangiri: Forester And Ranger Suspended On Allegations Of Misappropriation Of Money

Malkangiri: Two senior forest department officials of Malkangiri, including Kudumuluguma Forester Padmini Patnaik and Balimela Ranger Durga Prasad Nayak have been suspended on allegations of misappropriation of money that was meant for the Kendu leaf pluckers.

According to reports, the officials had emblazed compensation money that was meant for the tribal people. Divisional Forest Officer, Kendu leaf Division, Jeypore, investigated the incident and suspended the officials after getting complaints from the beneficiaries.
