Malkangiri: ‘Run for Fun’ Programme Organized in Swabhiman Anchal to Attract Children towards Armed Forces

Malkangiri: A special programme ‘Run for Fun’ was organized in Swabhiman Anchal in Malkangiri district to attract the local children towards the armed forces.

The programme was organized by BSF unit of Dharlibeda with the support of Malkangiri police, at Dharlibeda under Jodambo PS of Swabhiman Anchal in the district.

The “Run for Fun” programme was conducted on between 8AM to 9.30AM on Friday with an aim to attract the local children towards the armed forces like army and BSF and to create awareness for a healthy life.

The programme was dedicated to Teacher’s Day, to be observed on 5th September.

The event was divided into three categories with a distance of 2KMs, 3KMs & 5KMs and all the locals above the age of 7years including school children of Jodambo GP were invited to participate.

About 500 local participants including 300 school children took part in this event. Hundreds of local spectators watched the event and encouraged the participants.

About 400 T-shirts were distributed to the school children and other participants on this occasion. Arrangements had been made for Snacks & Soft drink for the participants.
The programme was organised in presence of dignitaries Sanjay Das, 2i/C of 9th Bn BSF, Chitrakonda, nsuman Dwivedi, OPS, SDPO, Chitrakonda, Anil Parida, OIC, Chitrakonda, Kumari Rajeswari Khillo, Chairperson of Chitrakonda block, Pinky Hantal, Sarpanch of Jodambo GP and Arjun Hantal, Sarpanch of Panasput GP.
The programme has a good impact on the morale of the local villagers and they got a good impression about the police and armed forces.
