Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths have unearthed properties worth crores of rupees from the possession of Ashish Kumar Dash, Superintending Engineer, Rural Works in Malkangiri.
During the raids, the vigilance officials unearthed fixed deposits and insurance to the tune of Rs.1.77 crores unearthed. In last 1 year itself cash worth Rs. 78 Lakhs was deposited in 18 FDs in Axis Bank.
Vigilance has also found investment of Rs 25 lakh in shares of Unit Trust of India (UTI) and bank deposit of Rs 16 lakh in Keonjhar.
Earlier, assets including Rs 21.75 lakh cash, 602 grams of gold, one flat in Cuttack, one plot at Keonjhar have already been unearthed.
Last Friday, the vigilance officials had intercepted the Superintending Engineer at Malkangiri and seized unaccounted cash worth Rs 10.23 lakh from his possession.
