Man Killed by Maoists on Suspicion of Being Police Informer in Kandhamal

Bhubaneswar: A man was allegedly killed by Maoists on suspicion of being a police informer in Kandhamal district.

The deceased has been identified as Ramesh Naik of Bandapipili village under Katagarh Police Station in the district.

Ramesh was forcibly taken from his house late night yesterday by the armed Maoists and was brutally shot dead by them, as per reports.

The body of the victim was recovered in a nearby forest on Sunday.

Ramesh was threatened by the Maoists earlier.

A handwritten poster of Bansadhara-Ghumsur-Nagabali division of CPI (Maoist) was found in the area claiming responsibility over the incident, as per reports.
