Rourkela: A high level team including members of the IFH and Hockey India today reviewed works related to the Birsa Munda International Hockey stadium at Rourkela. The team was accompanied by senior officials of the Sports Department, Government of Odisha. India’s biggest hockey stadium is being constructed at Rourkela that will host the Hockey World Cup in 2023 along with Kalinga Stadium Bhubaneswar.
The team members include FIH acting President, FIH CEO, Senior Sports Manager, Communications Manager, two coaches of Hockey India and state government officials. The visiting team reviewed the various works at the Stadium, Practice Center, Gymnasium, accommodation area and other facilities at the sports complex.
