Bhubaneswar: Semiluguda in Koraput district and G Udaygiri in Kandhamal district were the coldest places in the state with the minimum temperature dipping to eight degrees there. Twelve places have reported temperatures below 13 degrees in the state. According to the Meteorological Department, cold wave conditions will prevail in the interior areas of the state in the next few days. Some of the places that recorded minimum temperatures include Kirei of Sundargarh (9.5), Phulbani (9.6), Daringibadi, Koraput, Keonjhar recorded 10 degrees C each. While Bhawanipatan reported 10.6 degrees, Jharsuguda reported 10.8 degrees. Chipilima, Sundargarh and Deogarh reported 10.8, 12.5, and 12.5 degrees respectively. Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded temperatures below 15 degrees.
