Bhubaneswar: A cyclonic circulation is likely to form over North Bay of Bengal around today and under its influence, a low pressure area is likely to form during the subsequent 48 hours. Due to its influence, fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall activity with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely over Odisha during the next five days. The Metrological Department has also said that thunderstorm with lightning activity is very likely during next three days.
According to the MET Bulletin, Yellow Warning has been issued and heavy rainfall l (7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Boudh, Sonepur, Kalahandi and Kandhamal districts till 8.30 AM of 4th September.
