Metro Rail On Cards: Senior Officials Make Early Morning Inspection Between Bhubaneswar Airport And Trisulia In Cuttack
Bhubaneswar: In what could be the best gift for the citizens of Odisha on the occasion of Utkal Divas, the process for the initiation of Metro Rail Project has started with the senior officers of the Odisha Government today inspecting various areas between Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri. The team of officials led by Chief Secretary Pradeep Jena today made an early morning visit to various areas of Bhubaneswar including Airport to Trisulia in Cuttack to inspect the places through which the proposed Metro Rail will pass through.
The Committee of Secretary Level officials including Development Commissioner Anu Garg, Principal Secretary, H&UD G.Mathivathanan, Principal Secretary Commerce and Transport Usha Padhee, 5T Secretary V K Pandian, IT Principal Secretary Manoj Mishra, Police Commissioner S.K. Priyadarshi, Cuttack Collector Bhabani Shankar Chayani and others went on a field visit.
The officials deliberated on the various issues such as the route requirements, traffic modalities, land acquisition etc. The officials visited Airport, Railway Station, Vani Bihar, Jaydev Bihar, Patia, Nandankanan and Trisulia. It is likely that the Metro Rail will connect Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri and Konark and reduce the travel time for these areas. The early morning visit and inspection of the senior officials of the Government indicates that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is likely to make a big announcement on the Metro Project.
