Bhubaneswar: The southwest monsoon further advanced into remaining parts of Odisha and covered the entire State on Sunday, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
According to the IMD, the low pressure area over northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal areas of West Bengal and north Odisha is likely to move west-northwestwards across Odisha, Jharkhand and north Chhattisgarh during the next 2-3 days.
Under the influence of the system, light to moderate rain/ thundershower has occurred at most places over the districts of north Odisha and at many places over the districts of south Odisha with heavy rainfall at one or two places over the districts of Kendrapara, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Keonjhar and Sundargarh.

Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Bargarh and Jajpur.
