Nuapada: The Mukhyamantri Vayu Swasthya Seva (air ambulance service) has started in Nuapada from today to provide health services to people of remote and backward areas in the district.
A team of seven specialist doctors from medical colleges have arrived in Nuapada district headquarters hospital (DHH).
The team comprises specialists from cardiology, anesthesiology, neurology, gastroenterology and nephrology departments.
The team reached at Nuapada Gotama Airstrip here this morning on a flight from Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA).
During the two-day health camp at DHH, the doctors will treat as many as 175 patients. Many cases in Urosurgery, Cardiology, Neurology, Nephrology & Gastroenterology have been listed to provide benefit to the needy patients during the camp.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had launched the Mukhya Mantri Bayu Swasthya Seva in December last year. Since then this Vayu Seva Camp had already been inaugurated at Malkangiri and Kalahandi.
Health & Family Welfare Minister, Naba Kisore Das is coordinating the entire Swasthya Seva for providing effective healthcare service delivery by the team for the people of Nuapada.
