Bhopal : BJP president J.P. Nadda will visit Madhya Pradesh from June 1 to 3, during which he will hold several meetings with state party leaders, party’s state unit chief V.D. Sharma said on Wednesday.
Talking to the press at BJP headquarters in Bhopal, Sharma said the state leadership has planned a grand welcome for Nadda, who will be first visiting Bhopal on June 1 and then will go to Jabalpur on June 2.
“He (Nadda) will be meeting with state BJP working committee members and party workers in Bhopal on June 1 and on June 2, he will be attending a ‘youth connect’ programme organised by the party’s state youth wing in Jabalpur,” Sharma said.
Nadda will meet the state working committee members to review the party’s ongoing preparations regarding the Assembly polls scheduled next year. During the meeting, he will also review the progress reports of the individual members of the state working committee assigned to them.
“He will be addressing the gathering of party leaders and workers in Jabalpur,” Sharma added.
Nadda’s visit will also be crucial as the state is set for panchayat elections and local body polls which are to be held soon. Notably, the state’s local body polls have been a point of debate since long due to the OBC reservation issue.
The national BJP president will meet the organisation’s office bearers to discuss the election strategy for local body polls so that all the shortcomings can be removed before the election.
Earlier in March this year, Nadda had visited Indore and during a day-long visit had held meetings with party office-bearers.
