Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has approved the proposal to transform the Dharanidhar Autonomous College Keonjhar into a University. A notification to this effect has been issued by the Government of Odisha, Department of Higher Education. Taking to Instagram, 5T Secretary V K Pandian announced the development. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed his happiness and congratulated the people of Keonjhar on this occasion. The creation of the new University will help the students of not only Keonjhar but also the neighbouring districts in getting quality higher education.
The new University will be carved out of the territorial jurisdiction of Maharaja Sriramchandra Bhanja Deo University, Baripada.
