Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has congratulated Hockey Olympian Deep Grace Ekka on being selected for the prestigious Arjuna Award. Taking to twitter, Naveen wrote “Congratulate #Odisha hockey player and member of #Tokyo2020 Olympic team, Deep Grace Ekka on being selected to be awarded prestigious #ArjunaAward. May she continue to shine and bring laurels for the country. Wish her all the very best.”
Naveen also congratulated KIIT University on being selected to receive the prestigious Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puruskar 2022 for encouragement to sports through Corporate Social Responsibility.
The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports had announced on Monday the much coveted National Sports Awards 2022. The awardees will be handed over by the President of India at a special function at Rashtrapati Bhavan on November 30th 2022.
