Bhubaneswar: Further stepping up the transformation process of the state-run high schools in Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today dedicated as many as 532 transformed government high schools in five districts under the ambitious 5T High School Transformation Programme.
The transformed schools include 339 schools of Mayurbhanj, 41 schools of Subarnapur, 24 schools of Boudh, 46 schools of Malkangiri and 81 schools of Khordha.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today launched the second phase of the High School Transformation programme. A total of 2908 high schools will be transformed in this phase, according to an official release.
Addressing the children on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that each child is unique and has great potential. Children have dreams of a better future and dreams of doing something big in life. The school transformation programme has added wings to the dream of children, he added.
The Chief Minister also explained the significance of 5T to the children during his interaction with them.
The Odisha Government has taken up the transformation of the High Schools in the state under the aegis of the 5T Initiatives with an aim to transform them into world class learning centers.
In the first phase, 1070 High schools have already been transformed. The new schools have the best and most modern teaching infrastructure such as smart classrooms, e-library, reading rooms, science laboratories, hygienic toilets, safe drinking water and sports infrastructures.
