Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will be on a one-day visit to Padmapur in Bargarh district today. This will be his first visit to Padmapur after the Biju Janata Dal won the by-polls with a record margin.
Naveen had promised the people of the constituency to visit Padmapur during his election campaigning. The Chief Minister is likely to attend three public meetings at Padmapur, Jhrabandha and Paikamala. He is also likely to announce some important decisions of the Government of Odisha during his visit today.
The district administration has made elaborate arrangements for the visit of the Chief Minister. As many as 25 platoons of police forces have been deployed for the security purpose. He will reach at the Satibhata airstrip at about 11 AM and proceed to Paikamal to attend the public meeting. He will launch a slew of development projects in the three blocks of Padmapur, Jharbandh and Paikmal and meet women SHG members.
