Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday released the book ‘Hockey & India – A Golden Legacy’ by Sportstar.
Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey, Odisha Sports Secretary R. Vineel Krishna, Editor of Sportstar Ayon Sengupta and others were present during the inauguration of the book.
The book traces the roots of the game and its growth in India through the ages. It also chronicles India’s eight gold medals at the Olympics and the epoch-making triumph in the 1975 World Cup, as per reports.
