Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday sought the support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the endeavor 4.5 crore people of Odisha.
Speaking at a programme in Chandikhole, the Chief Minister said that Odisha is going to become a major manufacturing hub of East India.
In the field of infrastructure development, both social and physical infrastructure, there has been a transformation in Odisha today. Odisha has become the top second state in the country in terms of investment.
The Chief Minister said, “Development is the new identity of Odisha today. There is still much work to be done. I seek the support of the Prime Minister in the endeavor of 4.5 crore people of Odisha”.
Welcoming Prime Minister Modi to Odisha, the CM said that the Prime Minister has set a new direction for India. He is taking India on an accelerated drive to make it an economic powerhouse. India is now the 5th largest economy marching forward to be the number three in a few years.
The Prime Minister started many projects for Odisha including Chandikhole -Paradeep NH, several NH road expansion., Desalination plant, LPG terminal, gas pipeline, various projects like new train, the CM said.
The CM thanked the Prime Minister for his focus on the development of Odisha.
With the blessings of the Mahaprabhu and cooperation of crores of Jagannath lovers, the Srimandir Parikrama Project and SAMALEI project have been dedicated. The transformation work of Maa Biraja Temple is going on, the CM said.
The CM further said that today is the birth anniversary of legendary leader Biju Patnaik. Paying his humble tributes to Biju Patnaik, Naveen said that Biju Babu was a visionary leader.
The country, even abroad, has made its own important contribution in the struggle for independence. He has worked all his life for the betterment of Odisha and the betterment of Odias. In 1990, Biju Babu thought of making Kalinganagar an industrial hub. Today, Kalinganagar has become the steel hub of the country. Not only Odisha, the entire country is benefiting from it, the CM said.
