Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has urged all to make collective efforts to protect the nesting habitats of Olive Ridley turtles as they started arriving in large numbers for the annual arribada along Odisha coast.
In a Twitter post, the Chief Minister said that Olive Ridley turtles have started arriving in large numbers for the annual arribada along Odisha coast.
He urged everyone to make collective efforts to conserve the endangered species by protecting their nesting habitats.

Olive ridley sea turtles are considered the most abundant, yet globally they have declined by more than 30% from historic levels. They are now categorised as endangered because of their few remaining nesting sites in the world.
