Bhubaneswar: The night temperature is likely to drop by 3 to 5 degree Celsius after the two days in Odisha, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast.
In its latest bulletin, the IMD said that the dry weather is likely to prevail in most of the places from January 26.
Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places in Balangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Angul, Dhenkanal and Keonjhar till 8.30 am on Tuesday, it said.
The districts such as Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Khurda and Cuttack are likely to witness dense fog between 8.30 am on Tuesday and 8.30 am on Wednesday.
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is also likely to occur at one or two places in South Coastal Odisha, Jagatsinghpur, Rayagada, Koraput and Kandhamal.
The Special Relief Commissioner has directed the police and transport officials to take necessary measures to prevent road accidents due to dense fog.
