Bhubaneswar: There is no need to worry about COVID-19 situation in Odisha, said State Health Secretary Shalini Pandit on Wednesday.
In a media briefing about the COVID-19 management in State, the Health Secretary said that the positive rate in the State is only 0.04 percent. The number of COVID-19 positive cases in the country is between 100 to 200 and in Odisha 5 to 7 cases. There has been no rise in the caseload in the State. Odisha is conducting 6,000 to 7,000 COVID tests daily, she added.
More than 90 per cent people in Odisha have already taken two doses of vaccine, she said.
She further said that all curbs have been lifted in Odisha and no restrictions will be imposed at the present. However, the people are urged to wear masks while visiting crowded places, she added.
Testing kits, medicines and oxygen are available in sufficient quantity in all medical centers in Odisha, she further said.
