No Train to Stop at Bahanaga Bazar Station as CBI Probe Underway

Bhubaneswar: No train will stop at Bahanaga Bazar railway station in Odisha’s Balasore district as the CBI is investigating the triple train accident which took place at the station on June 2.

The CBI has sealed the station after seizing the log book, relay panel and equipment, a railway official stated on Saturday.

The relay interlocking panel has been sealed prohibiting access of the staff to the signalling system. Hence, no passenger or goods train would stop at Bahanaga Bazar till further notice, said South Eastern Railway Chief Public Relations Officer, Aditya Kumar Chaudhary.

A total of 170 trains pass through the Bahanaga Bazar Railway station on a daily basis, out of which seven passenger trains, including Bhadrak-Balasore MEMU, Howrah Bhadrak Baghajatin Fast Passenger, Kharagpur Khurda road fast passenger, stop here every day for a minute, as per reports.
