Bhubaneswar: The Secretariat of the Odisha Legislative Assembly on Tuesday issued notification for elections to three Rajya Sabha seats from Odisha.
As per the notification, the polling will be held from 9 am to 4 pm on June 10 while counting of votes will take place at 5 PM on the very day.
The candidates can file their nominations till May 31. The nomination papers will be scrutinized on June 1 while the last date for withdrawal of nominations is June 3.
The tenure of MPs Nekkanti Bhaskar Rao, Prasanna Acharya and Sasmit Patra will end on July 1.
The ruling Biju Janata Dal is in a comfortable position to clinch all the three seats due to its strength in the Odisha Legislative Assembly.
