Odia BSF Jawan Martyred in Chhattisgarh IED Blast; Mortal Remains To Be Brought Today

Balasore: An Odia BSF Jawan belonging to the Border Security Force – Prakash Chandra Sial, was martyred in an IED blast in Chhattisgarh’s Kanker District. The blast occurred on Monday and Prakash was shifted to Raipur Hospital in a serious condition. He breathed his last yesterday. Prakash belongs to Gopalpur under Bahanaga block of Balasore district. A pall of gloom has descended in the areas with the sad demise of Prakash.

The incident had occurred on Monday when a joint team of BSF jawans and District force was accompanying a polling team from Marbeda to Rengagondi polling booth. Two other polling officials also sustained minor injuries in the incident. Sial had joined the BSF in 2004 and survived by his wife and two children. As per reports, the mortal remains of Prakash will be brought to his native village in Balasore district today.
