Bhubaneswar: Renowned economist from Odisha Dr. Michael Debabrata Patra has been reappointed as Deputy Governor of Reserve Bank of India.
Dr. Patra has been reappointed to the post for a further period of one year with effect from January 15, 2024, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
“The Central Government has re-appointed Dr. Michael Debabrata Patra as Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India for a further period of one year with effect from January 15, 2024, or until further orders, whichever is earlier”, the RBI said in a press release.
He was first appointed as RBI Deputy Governor in January 2020
