Odia Youth Kills Girlfriend In Surat For Pressurizing Marriage; Stabs Fifty Times, Dumps Body In Farmland

Bhubaneswar: In a dastardly act, an Odia youth has killed his girlfriend in Surat for pressurizing him for marriage. The Odia youth identified as Jagannath Gouda from Odisha has been arrested by Surat City Crime Branch for murdering his girlfriend Kuni Das, who is also from Odisha. Jagannath brutally stabbed his girlfriend fifty times and threw her body in a nearby farm in the Amroli area of Surat.

The Surat City Police successfully cracked the case after investigations. According to Surat Police, the body of the girl was recovered in a farm near Surat few days back. During investigations, a note written in Odia was found which led to the conformation that the woman is from Odisha. During investigations and CCTV checking at the Railway Station, she was seen with a youth identified as Jagannath. Later, the police arrested the youth. Jagannath Gowda, after being interrogated, confessed that he had killed the woman. He was in a relationship with this woman named Kuni Das for the last three years. The woman was living in Bhubaneswar, Odisha and was pressurizing him to get married. Tired of this, the accused went to Odisha 15 days ago and brought the woman to Surat by train. He took her to a nearby farm and stabbed her fifty times to murder her. During Police interrogation, Jagannath is said to have confessed that he was in a relationship with Kuni Das for the past three years.
