Bhubaneswar: As many as 17 districts of Odisha have experienced deficit rainfall from June 1 to July 12 this monsoon season, informed the Meteorological Centre Bhubaneswar, India Meteorological Department.
Odisha has received the rainfall of 238.8 mm against its normal value of 323.6 mm during the same period.
The districts that received deficit rainfall are Koraput 264 (-22), Nabarangpur 179.2 (-59), Rayagada 130.2 (-54), Ganjam 147.1 (-40), Kandhamal 166 (-47), Bolangir 192.6 (-37), Sonepur 212.3 (-33), Nayagarh 222.6 (-25), Khordha 180.7 (-38), Puri 150.1 (-42), Jagatsinghpur 168.4 (-36), Cuttack 193.7 (-38), Kendrapara 147.8 (-48), Jajpur 221.6 (-37), Bhadrak 241 (-21), Balasore 210.2 (-40), and Mayurbhanj 170.6 (-54).
Deogarh 472 (44) is the only district which has experienced excess rainfall from June 1 to July 12.
