Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has decided to include the National Cadet Corps (NCC) course in the Plus 3 curriculum for students from the academic year 2023-24.
Asoka Kumar Das, Vice Chairperson, Odisha State Higher Education Council, said that a committee has been constituted for the purpose under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor of Ramadevi Women’s University.
The committee will look into different aspects and work out modalities for inclusion of the new subject in the curriculum. Students can choose NCC as elective subject.
Earlier, NCC was confined to only practical and field theory.
