Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday dedicated 445 transformed high schools in five districts during the second phase of High School Transformation Programme under the 5T initiatives of the State Government.
The transformed schools have been inaugurated on the fifth day of the second phase of the High School Transformation Programme.
As many as 135 schools in Balasore district, 95 schools in Puri district, 60 schools in Nayagarh district, 75 schools in Jagatsinghpur district and 80 schools in Bhadrak district have been dedicated by the Chief Minister.
Addressing the students on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the transformation programme has filled in joy and excitement among the children. It has brought new hopes and aspiration in the children, the CM said.
The CM advised the students to excel in their respective fields be it studies or sports. He also urged them to make good use of this important phase of life and create a new identity for themselves, for their families and for Odisha.
A total of 2908 state-run high schools are being transformed in this phase.
The Odisha Government has taken up the transformation of the High Schools in the state under the aegis of the 5T Initiatives with an aim to transform them into world class learning centers.
In the first phase, 1070 High schools have already been transformed. The new schools have the best and most modern teaching infrastructure such as smart classrooms, e-library, reading rooms, science laboratories, hygienic toilets, safe drinking water and sports infrastructures.
