Odisha: 907 Maoist Supporters Surrender before Police in Malkangiri

Bhubaneswar: Motivated by the development works of the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik-led Odisha Government, 907 active Maoist supporters including 467 active militias surrendered before police in Malkangiri district on Tuesday.

“In continuation to surrender of hundreds of Militias and Maoist supporters before police, another 907 active Maoist supporters including 467 active militias of Nakamamidi GP, Jantri GP, Andrapalli GP, Panasput GP, Jodambo GP, Bungaput GP & Kumuda GP surrendered before DIG of Police (South Western Range), SP Malkangir and BSF “, the Odisha Police informed.

The surrendered Maoist supporters expressed their opposition towards the Maoist ideology by burning uniform and effigies of Maoists and gave slogans “Maobadi Murdabad, Ama Sarkar Jindabad”, the police said.
