Bhubaneswar: The academic session in schools in Odisha for 2023-24 will commence from April this year and end in March 2024, informed the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha.
In a notification, the BSE said that the syllabus followed for the academic session 2022-23 in all courses will continue for the academic session 2023-24.
The courses for HSC and Madhyama will continue for 2023-24 as per breakup of syllabus for four quarters which has been uploaded in the website www.bseodisha.ac.in,” it added.
The assessment for 2023-24 will be the same as that was followed by 2022-23, which is based on continuous comprehensive evaluation with following weightage given for different assessments – Internal Assessment – 20%, Summative Assessment-I – 40% and Summative Assessment-II – 40%
The Aspirational Components as per High School transformation under 5T initiative introduced in Class 9 from 2022-23 shall be made functional in Class 10 from the current academic session 2023-24, the BSE said.
The procedure for conduct of Aspirational Components have been uploaded in the above website for information of all concerned. Marks in Aspirational Components will be given out of 100 marks (25 marks in each component) which will be reflected in the certificate of the students separately, it added.
