Bhubaneswar: As many as 7579 mini anganwadi kendras will be upgraded as regular anganwadi kendras in Odisha.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has approved a proposal in this regard on Monday.
The Chief Minister said that the child care program in the state will be expanded further.
It is worth noting that the anganwadi kendras are working for the care and early education of vulnerable children in the state.
Rs 55.21 crore will be spent for the upgradation of these 7579 mini anganwadi centers. Out of this, the State Government is bearing Rs 36.40, while the Central Government is bearing Rs 18.80 crore, according to an official release.
