Odisha Awarded for Outstanding Performance in Implementation of MTP (Amendment) Act, 2021

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has congratulated the State Health and Family Welfare Department as Odisha has been awarded for its outstanding performance in implementation of Medical Termination of Pregnancy Amendment Act, 2021 at National Consultation on Comprehensive Abortion Care in New Delhi.

The MTP (Amendment) Act, 2021 calls for expansion of access to safe and legal abortion services to women.

With effective implementation of healthcare policies, Odisha is setting a benchmark in ensuring safety and well-being of women, the Chief Minister said.
