Odisha Cabinet Approves 14 Proposals of Seven Departments

Bhubaneswar: The State Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today approved 14 proposals of seven departments. This was the last Cabinet Meeting of the current Government before the announcement of the General and Assembly elections.

According to sources, the State Cabinet has approved construction of a high level bridge over river Mahanadi at Brahmankanda-Sahukheta road under Salepur block of Cuttack district that will provide interlink connection between Cuttack-Paradeep Road to Cuttack-Chandbali road. An amount of Rs 128 Crore will be spent for this. A Jadab Bhawan will be constructed in Chandrasekharpur in Bhubaneswar for which the government will provide half an acre land.

Giving details about the Cabinet Decisions, State Transport Minister Tukuni Sahu said that the State Cabinet has given its nod to Command Area Development and Water Management (CADWM) activities in irrigated commands (version 2.0) that will be implemented with an expenditure of Rs 763.47 crore for a further period of 5 years till 2028-29′.
