Odisha Cabinet Approves Rs 656.73 Cr for EKAMRA Scheme 

Bhubaneswar: In a significant development, the Odisha Cabinet led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday approved Rs Rs.656.73 crore for the Ekamra Kshetra Amenities and Monument Revival Action (EKAMRA) Scheme.

The EKAMRA Scheme was launched with the objective to revive and preserve the heritage value and grandeur of Lord Lingaraj Temple and its surroundings, to enhance the living heritage, continuous traditions and a complete time line of Kalinga Architectural Development.

The scheme also aims at protecting and strengthening the linkages between the area’s natural and built heritage assets.

The State Cabinet approved the Scheme at a cost outlay of Rs.656.73 Crore and the scheme will be implemented from 2020-21 to 2024-25.
