Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra on Wednesday visited Puri district to review various developmental projects.
At a meeting, the Chief Secretary discussed with the concerned senior officials about the progress of various developmental projects in the district.
During his visit, the Chief Secretary reviewed the Srimandir Parikrama Project, development of Shwetaganga, Markanda, Narendra and Indradyumna heritage shrines under ABADHA Yojana, Mahodhi Market Complex at Mochisahi and Municipal Market Complex at Bada Danda, parking facility at Jail Road, Odisha University, development of Utkalmani Gopabandhu Das Birthplace, the progress of construction of Biju Patnaik Indoor Stadium and Adarsh Vidyalayas and directed the departmental officials to expedite the works.
The Chief Secretary also reviewed the Jagannath Ballav parking lot under the ABADHA Yojana, the Shree Setu Project being constructed at the cost of around Rs.190 crore, the two-phase expansion of Musa river at the cost of around Rs.133 crore, the exhibition and parking arena under construction at a cost of Rs.180 crore, Habisiali shelter- Brundavati Niwas, Shree Jagannath Stadium.
He was apprised of the progress of the projects and discussed with the concerned officers the implementation of the work.
During the Chief Secretary’s visit, Puri Collector Samarth Verma and other officials were present.
