Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has announced the results of the Odisha Civil Services Preliminary Exam-2021.
As many as 5,296 candidates including 1,749 women candidates have qualified for appearing in the Mains written exam.
Out of them, 2,802 including 944 women candidates are from the Unreserved category, 475 including 144 women are from the Socially and Educationally Backward category, 877 including 294 women are from the Scheduled Caste category and 1,142 including 294 women are from the Scheduled Tribe category.
The Odisha Civil Service Examination is conducted in three phases i.e. Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Personality Test. A total vacancy for 433(142-W) posts i.e. 20-230(75-W), SEBC-39 (12-W), SC-71(23-W) and ST-93(30-W) have been advertised for OCS, 2021.
A total of 58,241 (20930-W) applications were received for O.C.S., 2021, out of which 29,295 (10284-W) candidates appeared at the Preliminary Examination held on October 16 this year.
The main written examination is tentatively scheduled in the month of February 2023.
