Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday sought the cooperation of all for the smooth conduct of world famous annual Ratha Yatra of Lord Jagannath in pilgrim city of Puri this year.
Speaking at the Ratha Yatra Ratha Yatra Co-ordination Committee Meeting, the Chief Minister said, “Mahaprabhu is the identity of Odias. The entire world is waiting for the Mahaprabhu’s Ratha Yatra. It is the responsibility of all of us to conduct the festival smoothly”.
The Chief Minister stressed on the timely completion of all rituals of Lord Jagannath. Special attention should be given for the safety and other facilities for devotees visiting Puri, Naveen said.
The Chief Minister also urged to make special arrangements in view of summer season this year.
“We need to pay special attention so that the devotees coming from the country and abroad will return with a good feeling”, the CM said.
The dedication of the people of Puri, the sevayats of Mahaprabhu, administration and police will make the world famous Ratha Yatra of the Trinity successful. The blessings of Lord Jagannath are always with us, the CM added.
