Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will felicitate the Thomas Cup-winning members of Team India that beat 14-time champion Indonesia in the Final to clinch the title.
The Chief Minister will felicitate the players at a ceremony to be held at the Lok Seva Bhawan tomorrow.
The felicitation ceremony will be organized by the State Sports and Youth Services Department.
Former Indian badminton player Pullela Gopichand will also be felicitated.
India defeated 14-time champions and favorites Indonesia 3-0 in the final to lift their maiden Thomas Cup in Bangkok recently after previously reaching the semifinals in 1952, 1955, and 1979.
