Odisha: Drivers’ Association Calls Off Strike

Bhubaneswar: The Drivers’ Ekata Mahasangha on Friday called off its state-wide strike, which was started on March 15.

This was informed by the association’s president Prashant Menduli.

The decision to call off the strike has been taken after receiving assurance from the State Government to consider the Mahasangha’s demands within three months, Menduli said.

Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena held a meeting with the agitating drivers on Thursday evening and assured them that their demands will be resolved in three months.
