Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s eminent filmmaker Himansu Sekhar Khatua has been appointed as Director of Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), Kolkata on Saturday.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment.
Khatua, an alumnus of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, has directed the national film award winning movies, such as Sunya Swaroop and Kathantara.
He is the managing director from the house of Kalinga Media and Entertainment Private Limited (KMEPL) and also heads as CMD Kalinga TV.
