Jeypore: The flight services from Jeypore airstrip in Koraput district will start from June this year.
A five-member team of experts led by Regional Director of Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), KK Jha visited the site for an inspection on Wednesday, according to reports.
The team reached the site on a special flight from Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) this morning.
The team reviewed security arrangements at the airstrip and held discussions with the district administration regarding the requirements to commence the services.
The team reviewed functioning of several machineries, including X-ray scanner, baggage scanner, CCTV, door frame metal detector, handheld metal detector and Walkie-Talkie.
