Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has approved seven more private hospitals with trauma care facility of level I type.
“For further strengthening and to reduce the fatality due to Road Traffic Accidents, State Govt has approved 7 more nos of private hospitals with trauma care facility of level I type”, the Information and Public Relations Department informed.
In Bhubaneswar, the private hospitals such as AMRI Hospitals, KIMS, Hi-Tech Medical College & Hospital, Kalinga Hospital, Utkal Institute of Medical Science, SUM Hospital, SUM Ultimate, Sunshine Hospital, Care Hospital and Blue Wheel Hospital have been approved.
In Cuttack, the list of hospitals include Padmini Care, DRIEMS, Tangi, Sashi Bhusan Memorial Hospital, Sun Hospital, Trisha Hospital and Ashwini Trauma Centre.
Besides, JP Hospital, Rourkela, Medicover Hospital, Vishakhapatnam, Rama Krishna Care Hospital, Raipur have been approved by the government.
To decrease deaths due to road accidents, and in pursuance to the observations of the Supreme Court Committee on Road Safety, the State Health Department has strengthened the Trauma care Facilities in Odisha.
In addition, for free treatment to trauma victims a scheme name FTTF has been launched since 2019. Through the scheme, the trauma victims are given cashless treatment during the first 48 hours of trauma, the Health Department stated.
Earlier 11 hospitals were empanelled to provide such cashless treatment. To strengthen further seven more hospital are empanelled. At present total 18 hospitals are empanelled under FTTF scheme.
