Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has approved the proposal for hike in ex-gratia amount for state government employees.
The ex-gratia has been hiked for death during duty to Rs 10 lakh from Rs 4 lakh.
According to the decision, in case of death of a government servant during their duty period, their family will be eligible for an ex gratia payment of Rs 10 Lakhs. Likewise, the ex gratia in case of permanent disability due to injury has been hiked from Rs 2 Lakh to Rs 5 Lakh. For partial disability, the ex gratia has been hiked from Rs 1 Lah to Rs 2 Lakh.
