Odisha Govt Signs MoU with RailTel for Setting up Neutral Submarine Cable Landing Station

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has signed an MoU with RailTel Corp, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Indian Railways, for setting up of a neutral submarine cable landing station in the State.

The MoU has signed at the third edition of the Make in Odisha Conclave 2022 in the presence of Electronics & Information Technology (E&IT) Department Secretary Manoj Kumar Mishra and Sanjai Kumar, RailTel CMD Sanjai Kumar and other business leaders.

As per the MoU, RailTel will collaborate with the State Government in setting up a neutral submarine cable landing station at Puri which will be game-changing for many associate industries, such as data centre, entertainment, banking and financial sectors.

The submarine cable landing station will improve data connectivity and facilitate further growth of the IT sector in the State.
