Odisha Govt Spent Over Rs 3,550 Cr under BSKY So Far: Health Min

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has spent more than Rs 3,550 crore under the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) so far in the State.

This has been informed by State Health Minister Niranjan Pujari in the Assembly.

In reply to a question, the Minister said that the State Government has spent Rs 35,50,10,94,612 for the treatment of 16,50,472 patients under BSKY so far in the State.

The Government spent Rs 41,222,14,730 for the treatment under the flagship health scheme in 2019-20 while the amount increased to Rs 79,42,31,773 in 2020-21. The treatment of poor patients cost Rs 380,57,65,445 and Rs 1907,0258,790 to the State exchequer in 2021-22 and 2022-23 respectively, he said.

The Health Department has Rs 1141,86,23,874 till August 31 this year for the cashless health scheme, the Minister added.
