Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government will appoint 7000 teachers on December 16, informed School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash on Monday.
The State Government has set the target to fill up 11,000 teacher posts in the first phase. Only 7,000 candidates have qualified the exam conducted by School and Mass Education Department, the Minister said.
As many as 4,000 candidates were found ineligible for the reserved posts, he added.
The Government is reconsidering the applications of the 4,000 candidates and a decision will be taken in a week, he further stated.
